What’s Up Wednesday?

Thank you for stopping by my blog again, today I thought I would do a small update with What’s Up Wednesday. I know I have been inconsistent and all over the place lately but I’m trying really hard the best I can to get back on track. When life hits you hard, you really have to be strong to get back up and fight back and work through things. That is what I am doing.

What we’re eating this week:

I’ve still been working on eating healthier and finding alternatives to some of the foods I’m trying to cut out such as burgers. Recently we picked up some veggie burgers, I first tried the Boca brand and I was pretty impressed. I’ll definitely get them again. And actually, I’ll be talking about them more, along with some other brands in a future post.

What I’m reminiscing about:

When I was a little more consistent in the blog community, when I was happier, spending time with friends and family. As of now I just feel lost.

What I’m loving:

I’m loving new music from Jhene Aiko. I’m loving the poems I have been working on. I’m loving kind people in this world. The world is a mess right now.

What we’ve been up to:

Well, I personally have just been working on myself physically and mentally. Spending less time online, healing, building a better relationship with God, and working on my current relationships with family to start. Trying at least.

What I’m dreading:

Something that I don’t want to talk too much into right now but basically, my boyfriend and I are really struggling and are close to no longer having a place to stay. Life is rough and really stressful at the moment but I’m going to keep pushing and fighting through these times.

What I’m working on:

As I mentioned above, I have been working more on myself. But I’m also working on posts for both GoldenPinkJournal and SheLivesLove and a few other things that I will share later on.

What I’m excited about:

Getting back into the community, enjoying what I love to do again and just finding myself again because I know this storm will be over eventually.

What I’m watching/reading:

I recently picked up some new books but I haven’t started to read them yet. I’m currently watching ’90s house as I type. I thought I would check the show out, and it’s pretty cool and interesting so far but there have been a few cringe moments. Have any of you watched it?

What I’m listening to:

I have been listening to Jhene Aiko’s new album Trip. She made an album, a short film/movie, and poetry book. I really enjoyed the film. I’m also going to check out Demi Lovato’s new album.

What I’m wearing:

T-shirt and leggings, nothing special.

What I’m doing this weekend:

It will be wash day for my hair. Hopefully, this time goes much better than the last. I haven’t made any plans for the weekend so it’ll just be a surprise. If anything I’ll still be working on catching up with things.

What I’m looking forward to the next month:

Getting out of this funk is really my main priority. Also, I am close to 900 followers here on GoldenPinkJournal, that’s pretty cool. Hello to my new followers!💖

What else is new:

I recently made my 200th post here which was exciting. There are a few things that I’ll talk about on a later date. I want to keep you all updated on things without putting my whole life out there, and without having too many sad depressing posts. I will be posting today, tomorrow, Friday, and possibly once this weekend. I also will be reading your posts and comments.

What’s Up Wednesday!

What’s Up Wednesday?!

Wow! I haven’t done one of these in a while. Good morning everyone! It’s 6 AM and I’ve started my morning already despite falling asleep around 2 AM, long night. I’ve got a busy day today. So what is actually up? 🙂

What we’re eating this week:

I’ve pretty much been eating sandwiches, baked chips, baked chicken, fruits, and veggies. My boyfriend is a diabetic, and I’m “not feeling well” way too many days out of the months. So we are slowly but surely transitioning to a healthier lifestyle.

What I’m reminiscing about:

Not much so I don’t really have anything to put here. I’m usually reminiscing about old friends and such but lately, I’ve been content with life in the now. 🙂

What I’m loving:

I’m loving new music! I’m loving myself and my growth, I’m loving all the lovely comments I receive, I’m loving my mind when it’s in a good place and being magical of course…. This is what I was loving the last time I participated in What’s Up Wednesday and honestly, I can say things are still the same. More importantly this time, growth.

What we’ve been up to:

Cleaning, working, making lifestyle changes, researching to name a few things.

What I’m dreading:

My friend is coming over in a few hours and honestly, I just want to lay in bed, maybe go back to sleep lol. Remember, I had about 3 hours of sleep.

What I’m working on:

This post obviously🙂, some future posts including awards/tags. Coming up with a blogging schedule, being more organized, myself. I definitely have been working on myself a lot lately in different aspects… Getting out more enjoying life, hanging with friends, being more confident, working harder towards my goals, etc.

What I’m excited about:

My new blog and the whole journey! So far things are going well and I feel like I made the best decision. I’m excited to see where it will go within these next few months. You all should stop by and check out my latest posts or the blog in general if you haven’t already.

What I’m watching/reading:

Right now Catfish is playing. I’m not really watching though lol. I’ve been reading articles and blog posts. No books lately.

What I’m listening to:

What I’m wearing:

I’m still in pajamas🙂

What I’m doing this weekend:

I haven’t made any plans this weekend besides going out to pick up a few things, working on the blogs, and interacting with you all. I’ll be working on a schedule this week and hopefully have it set to share for next week. I have been planning on setting days or certain times to reply to comments because I have been failing to do so as much as I could and it’s bothering me a bit. I just get a bit overwhelmed keeping up with everything sometimes, anyone else? Setting aside time just for that should help hopefully.

What I’m looking forward to the next month:

Fall! Autumn! Whatever you wish to call it, I’m also excited about it. Fall is my favorite season. I love the colorful leaves, the weather, and fashion of course!

What else is new:

There are a few things that I’ll talk about on a later date but besides what I’ve already mentioned I really can’t think of anything else. If I do I’ll make sure to come back and add it. I’m just feeling like I’m elsewhere now, I think I really need sleep lol but I’m gonna eat something first because my stomach will not allow sleep if I don’t…. I was about to say goodnight but… Well, it’s 6:40 AM so…

What’s Up Wednesday?!✨

What’s Up Wednesday?!

Good morning everyone! It’s 7:58 AM as I’m typing this, so far I’m feeling a litter better today. I know I said I would try to do this about twice a month since things don’t usually change much in a week, but there are some new things going on so here I am 🙂

What we’re eating this week:

I’ve been eating sausage, eggs, and waffles for breakfast but if you read my last post you know that yesterday I got sick after eating. Today I had soup for breakfast. We’re still eating chips and other junk but we did get fruit to make more smoothies. Forgot to get more spinach or kale. We’ll have to go back soon.

What I’m reminiscing about:

Not much at the moment actually. Every now and then I think about old friendships and the good times we shared but then realize that being stuck in that time is doing no good. The way things ended makes it feel like unfinished business, everything about it just felt wrong but everything happens for a reason and I still have love for them. If we cross paths again and can be friends again that would be beautiful but until then I need to focus on other things. Like my blog 🙂

What I’m loving:

Trying to plan better financially. Looking for a new car that we don’t have to pay so much on every 2 weeks! Saving up for the guinea pigs new cage. Still don’t have a couch for the living room so we’ll be working on getting that too… and then a TV. But more bills before that. Blah. Money, money, money. Working together around the apartment more. Much of this will be the same for a little while.

What I’m dreading:

Nothing really that I can think of right now. That’s a good thing.

What I’m working on:

Projects, planning, ideas, still need to work on some awards/tags

What I’m excited about:

This month, this summer I have a lot of things I want to share with you all! 1 year with my natural hair in a couple of weeks, a few years ago I NEVER would have thought I would be saying this. I can’t wait to share this journey of many ups and downs. I’m excited to answer your questions next week for my 500 follower Q&A 🙂 you can still ask them!

What I’m watching/reading:

Right now I’m not watching anything but I’ve been watching The Real still, and Pretty Little Liars. I keep saying I’m going to go on Netflix and catch up on some shows but haven’t found the time or been in the mood yet to binge. Does anyone use Hulu? We have that too. Any shows on there to check out?

Haven’t made plans for the weekend yet besides the normal blogging, SSS, and catching up on Sunday. I’m sure something else will come up. Father’s Day is Sunday but I don’t know if my dad is in town or what he’ll be up to and we have a strange complicated relationship. I love him so much regardless. If I don’t see him we’ll talk.

What I’m looking forward to the next month:

Summer Shopping. Blog posts I have planned towards the middle and end of the month. See how much growth/improvement between now and then.

What else is new:

What’s Up Wednesday?!✨

It’s Wednesday again already? I don’t know where these days go.

Today isn’t very exciting but I’ve decided that I won’t do this every Wednesday, as that just adds more work and pressure to my blog schedule and some things may not have changed from the previous week. I plan to do this at least twice a month.

What we’re eating this week:

This hasn’t changed much. I actually just finished an ice cream sandwich a few minutes ago. I had left over pizza for breakfast. I don’t even wanna discuss it.

What I’m reminiscing about:

Simpler times…

What I’m loving:

I’m still loving my alone time but other than that I don’t know. Loving that I haven’t lost my mind completely yet? Yay.

What we’ve been up to:

Staying positive, putting myself first. I can’t worry about everyone else all of time and not worry about taking care of myself. A few posts to upload the rest of the week. Some planning for June, new ideas and projects and everything else I already mentioned. Posting on Twitter more.

I haven’t been watching much tv lately. Still reading that same book Ruined, haven’t read the past two days though. I’ve been reading blogs. Does that count?

What I’m doing this weekend:

I have no idea. We don’t have a car yet. I’ll probably be washing and doing my hair which is a long process.

Summer Shopping. Blog posts I have planned towards the end of the month. New featured images. Going out. Reaching 500 blog followers, 464 currently.

What else is new:

Today is a new day. Lol, honestly not much is new. Which is kind of frustrating. I am still growing my blog and Instagram account. Growing every day, that’s nice.
