Fun Friday #18: 20 Names I Love But Won’t Be Using!💖💙

Happy Fun Friday!

Yesterday I took a look at my very first Fun Friday post, which was name’s I love but wouldn’t use. I shared that list back in March and I’ve added so many names since then! I’m obsessed honestly, I have about 70 written down.

For today’s post I decided to do an updated version sharing 10 girl names and 10 boy names that I love but probably wouldn’t use as my future child’s name. The name “Mireya” was in my last list but I’ve actually grown to really like it, mainly for a middle name but I’d definitely consider using it now. Many of the names on my list sound similar or have an A beginning/end because those are the type of names I prefer. They are still very different. I’ve also added a few of their meanings:)

Here is my updated list:
GIRLS💖

Analise– Honestly, I adore this name but the main reason I wouldn’t use it is because the first 4 letters spell… Anal. Now, I don’t know if my mind is just in the gutter but I don’t want the first few letters of my child’s name to spell Anal. I think she would hate it, and I feel like some people would point it out and make fun of it. If I ever use this name I would spell it “Aunalise” Auna for short. MEANING: Grace or devoted to God.*I also like Aunalia.

Alara– I really like the sound of this name but couldn’t see myself using it. MEANING: One who brings brightness and happiness to the soul, to the heart.

Indya– This is one of the names I thought I would someday name my daughter. Spelled India or Indya but now I see it as too common. I’m also not really interested in country/continent names anymore like India and Asia.

Yara– I got this name from the beautiful actress and model Yara Shahidi. I just couldn’t see this as my daughters name. MEANING: On Nameberry, the meaning is “small butterfly”
YaraS.jpg

Melody/Harmony– I’m using these 2 as 1 because they are both musical names, beautiful musical names I must add. I wouldn’t completely knock them, If I had twin girls I would probably consider these names. Maybe they would be blessed with great singing voices? That would be lovely. But with me being picky again, I have to point out “Harm” being the first 4 letters of Harmony lol.

Lilia/Lylia– Like Lily, this sounds so pretty but even better in my opinion. Again, this is just a name I couldn’t see my own daughter having.

Amberlee/Amberly– I started to like this name when I was in middle school or early high school days. It has a really pretty sound but the “Amber” is too common for me. MEANING: A jewel-quality fossilized resin; as a color the name refers to a warm honey shade.

Zuri– I first heard this name on Disney Channel on the show Jesse as Skai Jackson’s character and thought it was so beautiful! I only wouldn’t use this name because I’m not a fan of “Z” names for my own children. Guess what the meaning is??? MEANING: Beautiful

Hazel Won’t be using this name because it’s what I named one of my guinea pigs lol. Also because it’s a color. It’s also a type of tree and nut.

Aliza– I really love this name and the only reason I wouldn’t choose it is because I already know someone who named her daughter that. MEANING: Joy, joyful

BOYS💙

For the boy names most of these I wouldn’t choose only because there are other names I like better, or I couldn’t see myself using them.

Luca- I like how nice and short this name is, I just wouldn’t choose it for my son. MEANING: Bringer of light, Man from Lucania

Jeremiah– I like the sounding of Jeremiah, it’s just not for me.

Messiah– I love how powerful this name sounds. Probably because it’s pretty biblical. This name might be too much pressure though. MEANING: Annointed one

Eric– Another nice sounding short name. But this name is too common and also my ex’s name so that would be weird. MEANING: Eternal ruler

Tristan– I’m actually still on the fence about this name. Maybe I would use it, Maybe not. Who knows. I just know that I like it. As for the meaning, I saw several different meanings such as, a knight, tumult; outcry, bold, the loud one, lol… So I’m really not sure.

Antonio– This name probably isn’t as popular as it once was but it’s still kind of popular to me so I wouldn’t use it. Otherwise I really like it and would definitely consider it. MEANING: Worthy of praise; of value

Hendrix– I wouldn’t use this name for my son, it’s mainly a surname but I think it sounds really cool.

Malachi/Malakai– I’m not really a fan of M names for boys which is why I wouldn’t choose this name. It also sounds more like a pet name for a dog in my opinion. MEANING: My messenger/my angel

Kavan/Cavan– I just recently came across this name. I would probably use it for a middle name actually. MEANING: Handsome

Jahlil– Ever since I came across this name I’ve liked it. I only wouldn’t use it because I like other names better. But this could still very much be a possibility. I’m including it anyway:) MEANING: Great, Revered, Grand, Noble, Servant of the Majestic

That’s it! 20 names!
Do you like any of the names on my list? What is 1 girl and 1 boy name that would be on your list? Comment below.✨

Fun Friday #17: There’s ANOTHER site like Canva?!☺️

Happy Fun Friday everyone!

As promised, I will be sharing another editing app with you all. Don’t forget that there will be another one tomorrow too, so if you’re someone interested in making your social media sites or pictures more aesthetically pleasing continue reading and come back tomorrow to check them out!

Lately I’ve been finding several apps similar to Canva. While Canva still seems to be the best in my opinion, the other apps and editing sites I’ve found are pretty great too. The site that I’ll be sharing today, FotoJet comes the closest so far (of the ones I’ve tried) so I’m putting it in 2nd place right behind Canva.

The sites description: FotoJet is a great online graphic designer, collage maker & photo editor that will enable you to create amazing social media graphics, posters, flyers, banners, cards, collages, and also help you to edit photos without hassles.

Here is one of the “Magazine Covers” I created using FotoJet, and Laura’s pictures from Lauzie’s Lifestyle

LauraMag

Now let’s take a closer look behind the scenes as I edit another!

Screenshot (30)

You have the option to create a design, make a collage, or edit a photo. For this I’ll just be using create a design. There are so many templates to choose from, but some are only for the premium version. The free version still has some really nice ones. I’ll be using “Magazine Cover”

Screenshot (33)

Here is just a look at some of the collage choices:Screenshot (34)Now back to magazine covers…
You’ll notice a scroll bar on the left side with all of the magazine templates. I’ve chosen this Honey template.

Screenshot (35)

Now I’m going to change the text from Honey to LauziesLifestyle using the Homemade Apple font which is my favorite. I also want to change the picture! But I’ll be adding 3 pictures instead of just 1.

Screenshot (38)

Screenshot (39)You can also change the background colors if you want. You can choose single colors, make gradient colors, or use one of the cute patterns they have. I chose to leave the background as is. I did use a gradient I created in the first magazine cover of Laura.

Screenshot (40)

When you are ready to save your image, you can rename it, and choose the format either JPG or PNG. I kept it as JPG. I also kept the size the same.

I hope you all enjoyed checking this site out with me! Have any of you used FotoJet before? Let me know in the comments if you have or will be giving it a try. Thanks for stopping by.

Fun Friday #16: Exploring A New App☺️

Happy Fun Friday!

I can’t believe I’ve been doing this for 4 months now. The last series standing lol.
This series has lasted longer than the many others I’ve had and I plan on continuing it. It’s been my favorite from the start!

This week we’ll be exploring an app again. The app: Font Candy

This is the free version so of course it has it’s limitations but the full version is $3.

When you open the app it will take you to your camera roll. We won’t be using any of my pictures of sweet Izabelle lol. Instead we’ll be using Dakota’s.

You have the option to crop your image into different sizes such as Instagram, Twitter post, iPhone Wallpaper and a few others. I’ll be keeping it original.

Font Candy has lovely fonts to choose from. You’ll notice some favorites from Canva and other apps but you’ll find others that aren’t in Canva also. The paid version will have more.

I am using the Masana Script font to add “Essential Living With Dakota

I also wanted to add some artwork. Choose from different packages such as Holiday Magic, Decorative, and Family Packages like Mom, and Together We Make A Family which are the two I’ll be using.

Final product:

If you want, there are also different templates to choose from also.

Here are a few below:

When you are finished you can choose any social site to share it to or create phone cases, t-shirts etc which I didn’t look into. It’s probably too pricey. Let me know if you check it out. The image was automatically saved in my library.

Let me know if you give this app a try and if you like it.💚

Fun Friday #15: Exploring A New App☺️(2)

Happy Fun Friday everyone!

This Friday I’ll be sharing another app I recently found and have been playing around with. It’s a photo editing app called Photofy.

I find that it is similar to Canva and a few other editing apps. I do believe that Canva is better, but Photofy is just as great.

I’ll be featuring the beautiful Cherylene from livingvsexisting to show you how the app works:)
Let’s get started:

Photofy allows you to edit photos into different collages and templates. It comes with ore designed artwork for text and even social media. While a good majority of the apps features are free, there are some templates and artwork that require an in app purchase. Of course we’ll only be using the free items. Here is a shot of some of the artwork you can add to your photos and templates:

Here are some templates I tried out featuring Cherylene💙

I really wanting to change this templates colors using blue which is her favorite color, but unfortunately this app doesn’t give you that option.  Some of the templates had a bit more customization but for the most part it’s limited. It still turned out really nice in my opinion.

I do like that you can add stickers, which is where the arrow came from, and you can change the color or add different patterns/textures. You can also do this with the backgrounds. See below:

The app comes with a lot of free fonts, of course some are for purchase. And many are also in Canva, but there are some that I didn’t see in Canva.

You do have to pay to remove the watermark but honestly I don’t think it’s that distracting, it’s very small and light.

Overall I think this is a great app despite the few things I didn’t like and I’ll definitely use it again for my own pictures. I really want to try out those artwork @Handle features.

Have any of you heard of this app or tried it before? Let me know in the comments if you haven’t and decide to try it out✨

Fun Friday #14: Exploring A New App☺️

Happy Fun Friday everyone! I hope everyone has had a fun, exciting week and if not, I hope you have a better weekend:)

Today, I wanted to try out a new app. It’s not new in the App Store, but new to me. This is something I may do more often because I love finding cool apps, I search for new ones so often.

There were a few that I found yesterday but today I’m going to be sharing one. The app I’ll be sharing is called Patternator.

Patternator allows you to create cool pattern wallpapers using some of their cute photos or your own. They can even be animated. Here is the description in the store:

It says the animation feature is for iPhone 6S and up but if you have an older version don’t worry, you can still make and save cute patterns:)

Let’s take a look inside the app and start creating a pattern!

(Since today is the last feature for Pamela’s week, I’ll be using her picture)

When I first opened the app, this cute kitten pattern came up and I got so excited lol I just knew I would enjoy the app at that moment. They must know my love is so strong😻

But that cute cat isn’t cute Pamela so we’ll have to change that lol.

Click the camera icon in the left and it will open your camera. You can take a new picture or go into your album. I’ll be going into the album to grab some screenshots from Pamela’s Instagram. The next thing you need to do is trace what you want as your pattern. This probably wasn’t the best image for that but it still turned out nice I believe.

Once you’re satisfied with what you’ve traced you can create your wallpaper. It will automatically start with suggestion background colors matching your picture which I love! That’s great. You can also add stickers (I didn’t this time) and change the style of your pattern.

You can also pick your own color and there are so many to choose from! I went to the pastel colors.

Once you’re satisfied just save it. Or upload it to social media, whatever you wish to do. One thing I will say is that there will be a watermark on the saved image. I always hate those. You can pay $4 to get it permanently removed (yikes) or you can invite 3 friends to use the app and once they download the app you get watermark removed for free. Here is the wallpaper with watermark:

I decided to try out a face pattern also so I used one of Pamela’s lovely selfies. I thought it would be cool to trace out a heart pattern❤️

This was Patternator’s suggested color but I went with something different. I also changed the style of the pattern.

Finished!

Thank you so much Pamela for participating in my Q&A Game and being a constant support! I really hope you’ve enjoyed all of your features this week, I enjoyed posting them. I especially loved the Q&A session and trying out this app with your pictures:) can’t forget about that amazing guest post either!

I don’t know who hasn’t followed Pamela yet but if you’re reading this now and you haven’t- please be sure to check her blog out!

Let me know in the comments if you would try this app out or if you already have. Any cool apps you know of that I should try?✨

Fun Friday #13 Featuring Maggie☺️💚

Happy Fun Friday everyone!

If you know me, you know that Fun Friday is my favorite day of the week especially for blogging. Fun Friday will continue to my new blog as well☺️

This week I will be featuring Maggie from Dreaming Of Guatemala. I decided it would be nice to design a few twitter headers and signatures for her.

Maggie I hope you enjoy these, you don’t have to use them but I had fun making them either way.💚

Since I know she loves the sunsets, specifically the colors, I decided to use one of my own photos of the sunset for this first header. Her twitter name is lovelywriter16. I have tested all of these headers out already to make sure everything fits nicely 🙂

For most of the headers I used Canva with a blank white background. I used the colors that matched with her blog, and with Twitter of course. So I thought blue and green were perfect.

I got these leaves from Pinterest

I even made a couple of blog signatures:

While on Pinterest I found these 2 cute wallpapers that remind me of Maggie and what her blog represents:

Uploaded by Izni Azman

And lastly, a flyer I guess you could call it? Lol. These are a few facts found on her about page. Click here to learn more about Maggie, her blog and post scheduling.

Did you all enjoy these edits? How about the cute and inspiring wallpapers I found? Let me know in the comments✨

Fun Friday #12☺️ Cute/Girly Phone Customization (iPhone Version)

(a lot of pictures in this post, I recommend viewing in your browser)

Hey everyone and happy fun Friday! I’m excited to be back:)

Since I postponed the Q&A until Sunday, I decided today I would show you all some cute phone customization. This is going to be the iPhone (non jail broken) version because that’s what I have at the moment. I was a proud android girl up until last year lol. I still have some of my androids so if you’d like to see how I did customization on there let me know. Androids give you a lot more freedom and options so almost EVERYTHING was cute and had color, (menus, app icons, contacts, keyboard, font, dial pad etc) mainly pinks and purple☺️💕 I had the cutest phone cases for them too! I’m still slacking with my iPhone. I didn’t want to get too many cases because I plan to upgrade soon. I thought I would have sooner actually but things happen.

My iPhone definitely isn’t as cute and customized but it still looks really cute!

Phone case

I plan to do a case collection eventually but this is what I’m currently using. Adorable right?!

Lockscreen

Since I’m doing this today for Fun Friday, I decided to choose a new look from the previous one I had:

(This is the home screen but the lockscreen was the same)

I’m currently using this pretty unicorn wallpaper I found on Pinterest. I actually changed the hue to my liking and saved a few other colors also. I may change it, this is just the last one I checked out before posting.

Here are some other really cute options I tried:

I even tried to make some of my own:

The wallpaper I didn’t make, I added the text. “WAYS” is one of the many songs by Jhene Aiko that helps me get through difficult times.

These next few lockscreens I made playing around on Canva. I’m going to keep playing around with it and see what else I could do.

A lot of pink I know.

I usually find my lockscreens and home screens from Tumblr and Pinterest, or by searching Google

Ex: “Cute pink wallpaper” “Cute iPhone lockscreens”

Sometimes I get many from apps too. I’ll show you in a second!

Home screen

I couldn’t decide between a teal matching the lockscreen or a purple matching the unicorns ears. I went with the purple for now.

Other cute options I tried:

Apps you can use for cute wallpapers:

Cocoppa is really good because it has wallpapers, icons and so much more! You can create and submit your own icons and wallpapers for yourself and others to use. I’ve used cocoppa since 2013 I believe. This was the main app I used for my android. You WON’T run out of options, it will take you forever just to look through every single thing. I searched for Pink of course💕

Another one of my favorite wallpaper apps. There are similar apps to this one but to me this is the better choice.

So many cute collections to choose from with plenty options!

I also got a cute calculator app lol. I’m telling you, when I mean everything on the androids was customized I do mean everything. I had to try to find the most I could for my iPhone. I don’t even use the calculator much but oh well. 😂

I had this app a while ago and recently downloaded it again for this post. I don’t think everything was completely free, it may have been $1 I can’t remember. I never pay for anything in the App Store more than that lol. I saw quite few themes but definitely don’t remember seeing over 100.

That’s all the cuteness I have for the moment lol. Let me know if you’d like to see an android version. The poor thing is so slow now but I think I can show enough still. Which lockscreen is your favorite that I showed? Do you customize anything on your phone? Are you obsessed with cute cases like I am? Let me know in the comments💕
