Better Sleep Better Me; Better Snooze Better You!😴✨

Do you ever struggle with sleeping at night? Are you what they call a night owl?
I knew I wasn’t the only one! I get it. Sometimes you’re just not tired, sometimes there’s way too much on your mind to be able to rest. Sometimes you’re busy trying to finish things before the next day. Sometimes you just can’t get comfortable. I have the same issues. Well, until I started researching and learning more about the subject, and using a few tips.

Do you know what happens during a nap or full night of sleep? Do you know why it’s important to be getting enough hours of sleep each night?

May is better sleep month to encourage people to establish better sleeping patterns and learn more about what really goes on while we sleep.

Are you falling asleep yet? Does counting sheep help you fall asleep? Me either! My tips below will work a lot better. Trust me.

12 Ways I Ensure I Get A Good Nights Sleep:

1. Try to be busy throughout the day. I find that I get my best nights of sleep when I’ve had a work day or I’ve been out of the house for a few hours. Workout, go out with friends/family, whatever gets you active for a while.

2. Limit your naps. I know naps can be good, but too much of anything is bad right?Sometimes you think you’ll only take a little cat nap, next thing you know you’re waking up hours later thinking it’s the next morning and you’re left wide awake for the rest of the night.

3. Try not to sleep in. Simple enough. There were times I would sleep until 2 PM. I would end up falling asleep around 2 AM.s

4. Have a full meal. I try to have a filling meal a couple of hours before bed or have a snack right before. Who can fall asleep on an empty, growling stomach?

5. Limit light and electronic devices. This should be a no-brainer. I can’t fall asleep if the TV is on, I’m blogging, or liking pictures on Instagram.

6. Read a book right before bed. I find that if I read during bedtime my eyes will get tired quickly and I’ll be able to fall asleep.

7. Try to go to sleep and wake up around the same time. Develop a sleeping pattern. Once I started doing this it was like my body knew exactly what time it was, what time to go to bed and when it’s time to wake up.

8. A hot shower or bubble bath will definitely relax you for a good nights sleep.

9. Temperature. I don’t know about you but I can’t sleep if it’s too hot or too cold. The temperature has to be just right. I like the temperature to be steady also, or have plenty cover ready. Sometimes I have the air on and after a few hours I find myself waking up trying to wrap up in more cover.

10. Wherever I’m sleeping has to be neat and clean. Can you agree? If you can’t work properly in a mess without discomfort, i’m sure you can’t sleep there either.

11. Don’t fight it! I can’t count how many times I’ve tried to fight my sleep just because I was trying to get something done. You’re just going to be missing out on time that you could be resting, you might even win that battle and wake yourself back up! It’s happened to me before.

10 Reasons Why I Might Follow Your Blog✨

Hey everyone! Today has been very busy for me but I’m still working on my to do list and I really wanted… to do this lol. So, here are my top 10 reasons why I may follow you…


1. You have a nice name/picture. Chances are, if your picture is blank or your name is something I can’t read or understand I won’t follow you.

2. You post regularly. If I’m going to follow a blog, I’m looking for consistency in the dates posted.

3. Your blog looks nice and organized. Not plain, or hard to navigate through. I can clearly see the follow button on mobile device. Variety of topics. Great design etc 

4. You engage with your readers and others you follow. This is a big one so make sure you’re not only engaging with me, but other bloggers you follow and who comment to you also.

5. Your posts are interesting. Not all based on facts, there’s some honesty and personality that can be seen through your writing.

6. You are kind to your followers and blog community. Again this is another big one. Just the other night I saw a terrible post someone made because they were angry that no one was liking or commenting on their posts (that if I’m going to be honest weren’t all that great to begin with) This persons words were so foul that I had to unfollow.

7. You have Social media platforms I can also follow you on.

8. I see your name often in awards/tags. If I am constantly seeing that you are nominated for awards or to do tags, there’s a high chance of me checking out and following your blog.

9. You use pictures. Now pictures aren’t a must, but if you never use them I probably won’t follow you. Sorry😕

10. Your blog is about positivity and inspiration☺️ there’s a high chance of me following you if your blog spreads positivity in any way✨

Inspiration of the day✨

Hey all who is reading! I hope you’ve all had a wonderful day and have been productive. I have a lot of comments and blogs to read and catch up on, which I’ll get to tomorrow and a few tonight. I haven’t been on much today because I was reading, watching movies on Netflix, and many other things other than blogging lol. I’ve had a chill day I guess you can say. Just some time to unwind and relax my mind:)

But on with the inspiration. Our inspiration today focuses on mistakes…


I believe in this first quote not because we won’t live long enough to make them all ourselves, but because it’s true that we’re not going to experience every situation in life, even the ones we do experience, it’s still good to learn from others. If you’re a person that’s very observant, you know that paying attention to others actions and the consequences they face allows you to see it first hand and not make the same mistake. 

If Elizabeth and Myra spot a beautiful field of flowers, and Elizabeth goes into the field getting stung by several bees, Myra should know better than to go into the field also.

If a friend of yours gets into a bad car accident while street racing, or busted by the police, you should know not to speed or race…Or at least not race in that same area right?🙃

Today I have two quotes that I found on Pinterest. If you can see the header image you can guess that it’s going to be about family❤️


It doesn’t matter how big or fancy your living situation is, if you’re with a loving family and everyone is working together- that’s bigger than anything. Ask yourself, If the walls in your home could talk what secrets would they tell?


No matter where you are or where you go, regardless if you argue or fight family is always family. A friend isn’t always a friend… A relationship doesn’t always last. Family is forever. Take care of each other, support each other, tell them you love them because you won’t always get that chance. Everyone can be different and choose different paths but you share the same roots, you’ll always be connected. Don’t take family for granted, not everyone can say they have a loving home or come from strong healthy roots.

Take this time to forgive someone who has hurt you whether it was a silly argument or something more serious. You don’t have to do it for them, forgive them for yourself and everything else can follow. Take this time to let your mom, dad, sister, brother or anyone in your family that you love them. A great conversation or connection may follow, you never know. What you do know is that you won’t regret not telling them, if it were the last time.

Inspiration of the day✨

It starts with you.

Yesterday I finally watched 13 Reasons Why. I had been wanting to check it out since I heard so many great reviews and I’m glad I did. If you read and listened to my Saturday story, you’ll know why this goes along.. It was so strange that I woke up yesterday morning deciding to share that story with you all, and then I started seeing/hearing more about the show (blog posts, my bfs mom asked me if I had seen it yet and that I should..) 

When I watched the first episode I couldn’t stop, you’ll really get deep into it and it will make you think about a lot of things. This isn’t a review on the show, but I would definitely recommend checking it out. I will say some of the scenes (and it warns you of this also) are extremely hard to watch, but once again this isn’t a review so I won’t get into that…So that’s what the majority of my Saturday consisted of. I finished the last episode around 11 PM and I really couldn’t stop thinking about it ever since, I’ll probably watch again to see if I missed any details and they definitely need to have a season 2.

For today’s inspiration I just wanted to say that we all need to take responsibility of our own actions… Stop placing the blame on everyone else and realize that maybe everyone plays a part, including yourself. We all make mistakes and poor choices in life but be mindful of what you say and do. We all know the famous quote, treat others how you want to be treated. You may think your words or something you did was no big deal, but you don’t know how it was to that other person. If someone disrespects you in some way you’d be upset also. It’s always funny and “not that serious” when it’s not us. That’s where things need to change. We can keep talking about it but lets start practicing what we preach! Even if you aren’t preaching still be respectful, have some compassion, and help someone when you can. We often fail to act when we know we should. We see something and look the other way. Why is that? Please answer in the comments, I’m curious to know what everyone thinks. 

Situations like these can often determine a persons true character. Remember that it’s what you do or don’t do that matters. I say this often because it’s so true and can apply to different situations in life. Have you ever heard of guilty by association? Have you ever heard of an accomplice? Have you ever heard of a bystander? If you see a bully picking on someone and you just watch, you’re just as guilty as the bully.

So again, everyone’s actions matter. Everyone needs to take responsibility and think about how their words and actions may impact others lives. If you continue to place the blame on everyone else you’ll always be disappointed, waiting for everyone else to change when you could change and better yourself and then focus on how to change the world. It starts with you, and ends with us.

How many of you have ever felt like you may never achieve your goals? Like you’ll never get to where you truly want to be in life because you’ve tried so hard already? You put in so much work but it just doesn’t seem like enough and seems as if the journey is only getting longer? You know the goal you’ve got in mind is going to take a lot of time and dedication but really- this much?

Look how far you’ve come, you must be on the right track, you must be fit for it or you would have given up long ago. You’re strong enough to keep going and reach that finish line!

When you’re looking at how far away the finish line seems to be, remember how far back your starting point was and let that motivate you to know that if you don’t give up and you keep running, you’ll get there no matter how fast or slow you’re running is.
