Change is inevitable.

Change is inevitable. Change can also be very frustrating, or scary and may require some new adjusting.

Yesterday afternoon there was a big change in my life. As many of you know, I got my first apartment, my boyfriend and I. This post was planned for Fun Friday #3 but we got SO busy, nothing went as planned. We didn’t actually settle in until about 11 last night, both exhausted! The only thing that seemed “fun” at that time was bed and rest.

I’m thankful to have a great friend, she helped us move our belongings and let us borrow her truck while she handled some business of her own. She was also just as excited, if not more for us. We’ve all been waiting for this moment for a long time.

Our first night in the apartment was nice, though I didn’t sleep too well. I think it was just the excitement and new sounds that kept my thoughts awake. We have to get use to new things, paying all bills now on our own, and adjusting to the way things work and play at this apartment complex but I know it will all be fine.

During the next few days/weeks we plan to add more furniture and decor. We’re pretty much getting everything brand new so it’s going to be a process. I have a few pictures to show you an unofficial tour…

This is our new beginning.✨

This is first walking in, the living room was a bit messy last night since we were just bringing everything there while unloading. We’ve gotten a lot put in place now, but still a long way to go.

Here is a view of the balcony, nothing fancy but I can’t wait to add chairs and a small table☺️

If you haven’t noticed, our microwave is siting on top of the poor little stove lol, we’re going to get a small table today for it and dish rack for the counter space we do have.

I love the bedroom window.

And here are shots of the hallway, bedroom window view (which isn’t all that great but hey, look at the beautiful sky lol!) and of course the bathroom, which has the most progress so far- nearly done. I love the color combination I chose, it goes well with the wall, tile, and cabinet. I’ll probably change the shower curtain a few times, sometimes I get bored looking at the same design and decor.

Once we have all our furniture and bedroom ready I will do a full tour and start my home decor DIYs☺️

It’s been a busy past few days and there’s only more to be done. I should be back more frequently very soon but there will definitely be a Fun Friday post This Friday!

I’m actually in the car while making this post, don’t worry I’m not driving! We’re on our way to get more goodies for the apartment lol. *Don’t blog and drive…or text*

Cause you knowin’ our only concern is just hopin’ we blow
So when all the money come in from our album and tours
You sit there and soak in the dough
When did we ever ask about the gross?
When did we ever ask about the net?
You would just hand us money from our shows
Cause you knew we wasn’t questioning the checks
Nigga I trusted you with my life
You upped your percentage so I’m making less?
Fuck you bitch, you get no respect
This is why Hop is coming for your neck (Bless)

All you care about is making money
You don’t care about a fucking soul though
You just fluctuate our dollars up and down at your convenience like a fucking pogo
You been screwin’ everybody on the label on the low
And they don’t even know though
So good luck Jarren, Dizzy, Hoppa, SwizZz, I’m going solo

Ain’t got time for your bullshit, everybody knows you be on it
Ain’t got time for your bullshit, everybody knows you be on it
Ain’t got time for your bullshit, everybody knows you be on it
Ain’t got time for your bullshit, everybody knows you be on it

Change is one of the most difficult things that we face, but change is inevitable.
One reason we don’t like change is we get comfortable where we are.
We get used to our friends, our job, the place we live, and even if it’s not perfect we accept it because it’s familiar.
What happens is because we’re not willing to change, we get stuck in what God used to do instead of moving forward into what God is about to do.
Just because God’s blessed you where you are doesn’t mean you can just sit back and settle there.
You have to stay open to what God is doing now. What worked five years ago may not work today.
If you’re going to be successful you have to be willing to change. Every blessing is not supposed to be permanent.
Every provision is not supposed to last forever. We should constantly evaluate our friendships.
Who’s speaking into your life? Who are you depending on? Make sure they’re not dragging you down, limiting you from blossoming.
Everybody is not supposed to be in our life forever. If you don’t get rid of the wrong friends you will never meet the right friends.”
